Homeschooling with a Chronic Illness

jen / November 12, 2018

This is not to be taken as medical advice, I am sharing my experience. You know your body and your life best.   I don’t want to say that no one had faith in me, but rather concerns I would tire out too easily. I have Fibromyalgia (as well as a whole bunch of other illnesses) and the fatigue that comes with it can be debilitating. However, I knew my daughter needed this more than I need my rest. The thing about homeschooling is it’s quicker than regular school, it’s far less stressful and honestly, easier for me. We usually…

Thanksgiving Fun FREE Printables!

jen / November 1, 2018

I love Thanksgiving! Gratitude is really something we should be practicing all year, but sometimes we need a big reminder and Thanksgiving is that reminder! Studies have shown that gratitude can increase your happiness levels, just 5 minutes a day can increase your happiness by 10% and we need all the help we can get in this world. People who regularly practice gratitude and showing it outwardly (not bragging or whatever, but just genuinely being thankful for what you have) makes people like you more. It’s not a popularity contest, but it is nice to be around someone who is…

Essential Oil Shelf Life + Free Printable

Essential Oil Shelf Life and Free Printable
jen / October 25, 2018

After doing some research on the shelf life of essential oils I came to the conclusion that no one really knows! Many oil manufacturers will say if you purchase “pure oil” it has no expiration date and that is true if you don’t open the bottle and keep it in a temperature controlled, dark, dry place. God Wants Me Healed?

Journal Image Woman of God
jen / October 24, 2018

This is a touchy subject and many people do not believe the way I do. This is MY blog and I expect you to respect that and not post your hate under the guise of “opinions.” I will not tolerate unsolicited opinions, sorry. I have had several people tell me they are praying for my complete healing. I’m not going to tell anyone how to pray and I do appreciate all prayers, believe me. However, this whole “God Wants You Healed” movement? I don’t buy it. Literally and figuratively. The problem is with the word “wants,” and with the publicity…

Grove Collaborative: A Review

jen / October 22, 2018

I was not compensated in any way for this review; I just really love Grove! My photo   I saw an Instagram ad for Grove Co, they were offering a free trial to their VIP program as well as a three piece set of Mrs Meyer’s Clean Day products and a huge discount on many products they carry. They had me at “free.” The VIP program gives you free shipping, free products and great discounts plus exclusive items! When you sign up you get your own personal shopper who is there to recommend products or answer any questions you might…

Working on it

jen / October 11, 2018

Ugh to having to reinstall everything. Now I’m getting security errors because my site suddenly lost it’s SSL ability or somesuch. I’m getting really annoyed. And Google doesn’t think my site is good enough to display their ads. Nice confidence booster, Google. <insert eyeroll> I’m not new to the blogosphere. I’ve been in this game for 17 years. My first blog was run on a cgi script called Greymatter back in 2001. So, Google, take that.
